What Our 12-Week Medical Weight Loss Program Actually Looks Like
By Tonia Amaloo, FNP-C | Medical Weight Loss | Beyond Health and Wellness, Oak Forest, IL
If you've tried to lose weight more than once, you already know the hard part isn't starting. It's what happens in week three, when the scale stalls, life gets busy, and the plan that looked great on paper stops fitting your real life.
That's why our program isn't a diet handout. The Applied Metabolic Reset is a 12-week medical weight loss program built around your labs, your metabolism, and regular check-ins with a medical provider.
Weeks 1–2: Find out what's actually going on
We start with a full health history and lab work. Thyroid function, blood sugar regulation, inflammation and hormones can all make weight loss harder than it should be. If something is working against you, we want to know before we build your plan.
Weeks 3–8: Reset the metabolism
This is where most of the change happens. You'll have a personalized nutrition plan focused on real, whole foods, plus regular visits to track progress and adjust. When it's medically appropriate, we'll also talk through options like peptide therapy. Whether it fits depends on your history and labs, and we decide together.
Weeks 9–12: Make it last
Losing weight and keeping it off are two different skills. The final phase is about building habits you can actually live with: eating out, holidays, stressful weeks.
Who it's for
Adults in Oak Forest, Tinley Park, Orland Park, Midlothian and Northwest Indiana who are tired of starting over and want a medical provider in their corner.
