Our Patients' Journeys
This is a story of courage, commitment, love and rebirth of an individual and the journey she and her family took to regain her life. I am honored and humbled to be a part of her incredible journey! Her story reaffirms, why I do what I do, why I love what I do and why it is the life for me.
Karina
This is the reason I do what I do! Karina came to me back in May. She was 60 lbs. heavier, diagnosed with fibromyalgia, CFS, hoshimoto's, crippling anxiety, dermatitis herpetiformis, and facing sleeping problems! You name it she had it! She was taking five prescription medicine including norco and Morphine for her chronic pain. She could not exercise let alone function normally day in and day out. The smile on her face says it all! She is in no more pain, has loads of energy, takes no medicine, sleeps like a baby, has beautiful shiny full hair, works out daily and is 60 lbs lighter! This is what eating properly, exercising and proper supplementation can do for you. Congrats Karina! You're a rock star and totally in charge of your own health!
P.S. a few short months after her visit to our office, Karina became pregnant again, she was having some issues conceiving before her health transition but that’s all in the past!

D.D. Presented to our office with Hashimotos, with fatigue and the inability to lose weight. Her initial intake also listed other numerous symptoms, from brain fog, poor memory, swollen red eyes, dark circles, puffy eyes, food cravings, excess weight, water retention, constipation, hives, hair loss, joint pain, to irritability! In just 40 days after her initial labs and lifestyle changes were established, she has had total remission of her symptoms, that means every complaint she had initially was not an issue anymore ...gone...finito...adios! On top of all that she also has lost 12 lbs and has a boat load of energy! When we see such a quick an incredible response, we know the patient is fully vested and has skin in the game so to speak!

Mr. D
Mr. D, who serves the public and needs his anonymity (hence no pic below), came to me back in July suffering from plaque psoriasis and an under active thyroid. He was, at that time, taking Humira for his psoriasis and synthroid for his under active thyroid. He presented with a plethora of symptoms as a result. He thought maybe there was a different approach than the allopathic route he was on.
His initial symptoms reported were as follows (even on his meds)
- eczema, dry skin, plaque
- fatigue, restlessness
- anxiety, mood swings, nervousness, irritability
- trouble sleeping
- brain fog
- food cravings and compulsive eating
Upon functional medical lab work Mr. D showed positive signs of gluten sensitivity, systemic inflammation, Hoshimoto’s, hyper permeable intestinal lining (Leaky gut), a host of blood values outside functional ranges as well as a multitude of food sensitivities and deficiencies he was dealing with.
We addressed the environment the cells were in, the importance of the light that drives our physiology and we removed the triggers that were flaring his autoimmune condition. We supplemented any deficiencies and lo and behold, 3 months into the lifestyle modification Mr. D is off his Humira and doesn’t have any of the above symptoms. Mr. D has rocked his new lifestyle modification and it sure does show! All this was accomplished by Mr. D having the drive to feel better, healthier and off of the immune suppressing drugs that can have detrimental side effects! Definitely a healthier person to continue to serve and protect!

Gary
A lot of you will remember our patient Gary (Santa) who was in for a tweaked back over Christmas. Upon taking his history we found out that Gary had suffered from Iritis since 1977, Vitiligo since 1998, Vertigo since 2000, bilateral tremors in his hands and extreme exhaustion for days after any strenuous activity. Gary also had some abrupt hearing loss along the way. He has been treated extensively by conventional medicine, always receiving steroids for his Iritis, along with a specialist for his vertigo and hearing loss. He has been on Dramamine daily for his vertigo, some days the vertigo is so bad he doesn’t even get out of bed. With Gary’s autoimmune conditions I suggested that we also start him on a protocol to address his chronic conditions (as I believed them to be autoimmune mediated as well) along with the Chiropractic treatment he was receiving. We started the protocol for Gary after New Years Day and just 3 weeks into the protocol Gary’s Iritis (he had since 1977) is completely gone, Vertigo also gone (no more Dramamine).
His tremors are decreased substantially and we expect total remission as he continues to improve. Gary also stated “He spent a couple hours in his organic garden swinging an Italian Hoe (an extremely heavy spade), which would normally make him feel as if a truck ran over him for the next couple of days, low and behold the following morning, no pain what so ever! Way to go Gary you have achieved Rock star status in our book! It will only get better from here on out! Expect miracles people!!
